It’s not just about making a good song! In an age in which so much emphasis is placed upon social networking for success, you need to get those virtual tongues wagging! I wondered if this was a music video or horror movie. Kanye kisses the lips of these proposed corpses, sporting dark shades, appearing emotionless akin to the very corpses he is lying with. The video is shot in a dim light, stiff, pale seemingly deceased Caucasian women envelope every scene, staring into eternity.

I can’t lie they were still bangers! Despite the auto-tune (though I could not listen to a full album of that shit). By ‘Graduation’ he had begun severing ties musically with his Chi-town soul roots (last Kanye album I listened to), assuming a hybrid, diverse sound with songs such as ‘Love Lockdown’ on 808 and Heartbreaks. I could see Kanye progressing by ‘Late Registration’ as an artist (which is personally my favourite Kanye album) but I never envisioned him reaching this level of ‘creativity’ which I witnessed today. & had George Bush say that his actions caused the worst moment of his presidency. I disagreed, not saying these and other artists of the same era have not established themselves in the industry BUT we all know by now the impact musically,culturally, creatively, POLITICALLY that Kanye has had! He has crossed boundaries I never envisioned he would! He’s got man dem lusting over some peanut headed bald female (Amber Rose), in turn turning her into a ‘celebrity,’ ‘socialite’ whatever the fuck you wanna call it.

And I have been a fan from way back, the ‘Through the Wire’ days, the days when he was the ‘ ROC-producer-turned-rapper,’ and people were referring to him as ‘Kayne’ obviously unfamiliar with the unusual pronunciation of his forename.
